How To Get In the Holiday Spirit

Happy Thursday everyone! Can you believe that it’s only 17 days until Christmas? If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I am obsessed with the holidays (and I have been for a while). I also get very excited at the possibility of snow around here. We don’t get a whole lot in Arkansas, so I take what I can get ;) Today I wanted to share some ways that I get in the holiday spirit. I would love to hear your ideas, too!

slippers, rebekaheliz, fireplace, holidays

Cuddle up by the fire

Grab a pair of cozy slippers

I’m obsessed with these from Kohl’s! (I’m wearing them in the picture above & only $16)

Paint your nails a fun holiday color

I recommend a red or a gold glitter! (Be sure to use my favorite combo of topcoat & drying drops!)

nail polish, julep, OPI, candle, fireplace, rebekaheliz

Watch your favorite holiday movie

My two favorites are the Holiday & Home Alone!

home alone, coffee, mcdonald's, rebekaheliz, fireplace, holidays

Drink a festive hot cocoa or coffee

This peppermint hot tea is my favorite! (it’s even caffeine free)

the holiday, movie, peppermint, peppermint tea, leopard, rebekaheliz

Eat everything peppermint

We are talking candy canes, peppermint bark, and mint chocolate!

Light a wintry candle

I love “Flannel” & “Winter” by Bath & Body Works! I also like Visions of Sugar Plum & Spruce Cuttings by Voluspa.

To help you get in the spirit, I would like to give a lucky ready a $25 gift card to Target or Starbucks. The winner can pick :) Enter using the widget below. GOOD LUCK!

Cup of hot chocolate or tea and a good movie sounds like the perfect night. Using a new nail polish would also work.

Those all sound like great ideas! It seems I always think I’ll get into the holiday mood later, but later comes and the holiday is over! I need to take some time to stop and enjoy things as they are :)

I miss my fireplace! Ok, enough whining. I love those slippers too. The apt I live in now is SO drafty I’m going to need a good pair of comfy warm slippers!

These are all fun ideas. We do get a lot of snow (already have it actually) – but I’d love to do all of these anyway!

Oh yes we love having the fire-place on too! Since I am perpetually cold in the winter time, I long for it and hot things like soup and chili! I’m still trying to get into the spirit. My husband’s health ailments are kinda keeping me down.

We are in the holiday spirit over here. We have been baking almost everyday and making fires every night. It is also very cold outside so we know the holidays are almost here.
