Happy (almost) weekend. Ok, who are we kidding…it’s only Wednesday. I like to pretend it’s the weekend starting every day after Monday ;) As usual I’ve been super busy with what seems like zero to negative free time. Thankfully, I’ve gotten some “me” time lately and I’ve celebrated by pampering myself. Biore has a couple of products that I’ve been using for years. When I heard that I got to work with them, I literally screamed out loud. I have some major love for Biore products.

biore, biore charcoal, charcoal mask, charcoal nose pore strip, clear blackheads, blackheads, skincare

TIP: If you want to dig deep into pores, grab the charcoal. Now, I wouldn’t recommend the kind you use for cookouts. Look for products with activated charcoal that will gently unclog pores leaving your skin squeaky clean.

Why I love this brand: Bioré has products that actually work! Remember, work smarter not harder. The products are affordable AND available in the drugstore.

Why I love the 1 minute mask: this mask has warming effects that feel SO good after a long day at work. Even with my busy schedule, I have at least 1 minute to take care of my skin.

Why I love the charcoal pore strips: you can actually SEE results. Some people may be grossed out by it, but I personally love seeing all the blackheads getting obliterated by these strips. I’m also that girl who watches Dr. Pimple Popper videos, ok?!

TRAVEL TIP: The self-heating 1 minute masks come individually packaged, so throw them in your carry on before your next trip ;)

Be sure to head to the drugstore and grab some Biore products. Let me know how you like them!

Happy Monday! I don’t know why but I always open these posts up telling about the weather. It’s SO cold here in the mornings then it turns like 70 degrees in the afternoon. Talk about a nightmare for how to dress. Layers it is! There’s probably nothing more that I enjoy than beauty products that actually work. In today’s world, it can be easy for a brand to make claims about how amazing a product is. I think that different products work better for different people. I thought I would share my experience with four beauty discoveries I have made thus far in 2018.

{ONE} Herpecin L lip balm

You might remember me raving about this lip balm in this post. Well, I can truly say it’s become a staple in my makeup bag. Since I’m taking better care of my skin (sun-wise), I am sure to bring this with me everywhere! This will protect your lips from the sun, and don’t worry you don’t have to have cold sores to use it. PS you can’t beat the price ;)

{TWO} Oribe Serene Scalp Cream

Since winter, my scalp has become dry + itchy. I had been searching and searching for a scalp product. It literally felt like it was meant to be, because I saw this product on someone’s IG story and I was like WOW I must try that. It’s brand new, and I am in love. It has a cooling mint effect that leaves my scalp healthier and moisturized without causing oiliness.

{THREE} Briogeo Leave-In Mask Spray

This stuff is hands down THE BEST. I have practically BEGGED for help with my tangly hair and I’ve tried everything on the market. This product is the ONLY thing I use now after shampooing, because I can use my wet brush and brush right through my hair. I love the fact that it’s a leave-in mask but I love even more that it’s in a spray form. I don’t have to get my hands all yucky when using it! BUY this now.

{FOUR} NARS concealer

This concealer is my favorite for build-able coverage under my eyes. I use the lightest color (Chantilly) to really get rid of the dark circles. LOVE that it lasts all day and does not cake or crease.

While all of these beauty discoveries may not be new on the market, I have just recently discovered them in the past couple of months. I would love to hear products you’ve found this year! Let me know in the comments.

Happy Monday! AND I’m so thankful for some sunshine today. I’ve really been getting into the spring spirit lately, even though the season doesn’t actually start until later this month. We can never be too prepared though, right? I wanted to start a series here on the blog:¬†The Guide to Spring. As we go, I will share round-ups in different categories, and today’s is all about spring shoes!

I have been trying to re-do my spring shoes collection and be sure I have all of my bases covered. Nothing is worse than the CUTEST outfit without the perfect pair of shoes…am I right ladies? ;) When I went to Seattle, I got a litttttle crazy in Nordy’s so I thought I’d share the shoes I picked up while I was there. Also, I’ll share some other popular pairs I’ve seen on social media and in magazines.

Birkenstocks

Just go ahead and scroll now if these aren’t your style. As far as I’m concerned, these are a staple here in the South. I can remember wearing Birkenstocks way back in jr. high, and I would always get a new pair when I would travel to Florida with my grandparents in the summers. You could pretty much call us the Birkenstock family, because we all had multiple pairs. Birkenstocks are classic. If you choose the right pair, it will be your go-to neutral sandal and a favorite in your closet. I LOVE the soft footbed pairs, and I like how they mold to my feet.

Flats

Is there any better combo than a pair of flats + leopard? No. Leopard is honestly my favorite neutral. I’ve had several pairs throughout the years, but I’m loving this current pair. The pointed toe really adds that little something extra to really make these leopard flats pop.

Tennis Shoes

Pastels, including blush + lilac, are VERY popular this spring. I have always been a New Balance 574 lover. I had the gray pair all throughout high school and college. These are such a classic look, and I’m loving the blush pink for spring! Pair them with yoga pants, jeans, or even white jeans for a cute look.

I am actually pretty proud of myself for getting three distinctly different pairs that I feel go with just about any outfit I could put together. And be sure when you’re shopping to not neglect a couple of black pairs, because you never know when you’re going to need them.

Shop spring shoes:

Speaking of shoes, I picked up this pair of espadrilles in Dallas last weekend. Espadrilles are everywhere! I’ll be doing an entire blog post about that shopping trip, so stay tuned ;)

Thanks for reading. Be sure to leave a comment on what types of The Guide to Spring posts you’d like to see. I’m thinking rainy day must-haves, how to wear lilac, etc.
