It’s Monday! Where in the world did the weekend go? And can we talk about this weather? Here in Arkansas, it’s 40 one day then 70 then 50. You can’t dress for this weather, because it’s cold in the morning but hot in the afternoon. I refuse to let it get to me though, because I’m all about the fall clothes ;) Today I wanted to share my September Sephora PLAY box with you…

HELLO bright pink silky bag. This immediately put a smile on my face when I opened it. Sephora continues to surprise me with great, high quality samples in every box.

I was excited to see a mini version of the Benefit Gimme Brow. I use this product on the daily. It helps get rid of that “just woke up” morning brow look!

I’m in a love-hate relationship with eyeliner right now. I haven’t found anything that I LOVE, so I’m going to try this Sephora Eye Pencil. I need something that stays on all day and doesn’t smear. I will keep you updated.

Since fall has arrived with a bang, I hope I can get some more sleep since it gets darker quicker. This Algenist night pressed serum is going on my nightstand and I’m going to try it for 10 days.

Urban Decay must’ve read my mind, because I’m looking for a fall lip color. This liquid lipstick is a pretty brown/red/maroon if that makes sense. Hopefully you’ll see it make an appearance in an outfit post soon.

To keep your skin hydrated this fall, I recommend this belief Aqua Bomb gel cream. Its extensive hydration is just what the doctor ordered.

Shoutout to bumble & bumble for this shampoo and conditioner duo. I always take these packets on trips with me, because they are easy to pack and don’t take up much room.

Most versatile product: Gimme Brow (primer/definer/color in one)

Product I’m most excited about: Algenist Night Pressed Serum

Happy Wednesday. Before I start, I wanted to say that my blog posts got put on hold after the horrible tragedy in Las Vegas. I could not bring myself to post for a couple of days, because I was just in shock. Join me in praying for the victims & their families. I just don’t understand what our world is coming to.

*This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own.*

I’m totally on a Texas-sized travel hangover from my trip to Dallas this weekend. I can’t wait to tell you all about it for the next couple of weeks on “Travel Tuesday” here on the blog, so stay tuned! I found the BEST nail salon I’ve ever been to and picked up some goodies at Bendel’s so you’ll want to read along. BUT for today, I wanted to share my fall skin prep routine with Colleen Rothschild.

Colleen Rothschild was a new skincare brand to me, but let me tell you…I’m in love. I have promised only to share products that I use and believe in here on the blog, so this is one of those brands. I have been using these products for 2 weeks now, and I have gotten so many compliments on the brightness of my skin.

I think it’s important to remember that not everyone has the same skincare needs. Some of us are oily, some of us are dry, and some of us (me) are combination. My #1 skin concern is my dark spots. I have lots of freckles from when I was younger and didn’t always wear sunscreen. I am making a conscious effort to lighten these spots to create a blank canvas for makeup preparation. There are several color changing/balancing products out there, but I wanted to get to the root of the problem in diminishing the spots.Through a combination of dermaplane and my Colleen Rothschild skincare, I’m well on my way.

With fall just around the corner, I wanted to share my skincare routine using Colleen Rothschild. I was ecstatic when the brand wanted to work with me, because I believe in the vision of this company. The product line is NOT overwhelming which is a plus. Here’s my fall routine:

{Step 1}: Radiant Cleansing Balm

LOVE LOVE this cleansing balm. I have sensitive skin, so I have to be sure not to exfoliate with harsh products. I use this product to help me get rid of makeup. It works extremely well at getting rid of the most stubborn eye makeup!

{Step 2}: Balancing Gel Cleanser

If I could describe this cleanser in one word, it would be heavenly! The feel of this cleanser is so soft! In my opinion, it’s hard to find a cleanser that cleans deep when it doesn’t contain exfoliating beads. However, I was pleasantly surprised how bright and fresh my skin felt after using this cleanser. I use this twice daily!

{Step 3}: Age Renewal Super Serum **FAVE**

If you only buy one Colleen Rothschild product, it should be THIS ONE! Hands down my favorite product from this line is this serum. It feels like butter and softens skin in just one use. I apply this serum before my moisturizer. My number one skin concern for fall/winter is hydration. This product will boost hydration, and I feel as if it helps the moisturizer work better. I like to think of it as a “moisturizer prep” product ;)

{Step 4}: Sheer Renewal Cream (morning)

I know it can be confusing how to choose a moisturizer in general. Then when you’re trying to decide what to use morning vs. night, it gets even more complicated. Colleen Rothschild has really simplified the process. The sheer renewal cream is my go-to for morning, because it’s not super thick. It gets the moisturizing job done and is sheer enough to wear under makeup.

OR {Step 4}: Extreme Recovery Cream (night)

If you want to prevent dry skin before winter, grab this extreme recovery cream. It’s a thicker formula, so I apply this each night to a clean face. It’s pretty much like magic while I sleep. I wake up in the morning to fresh skin, but it’s not oily!

Other Masks/Lotions

If you saw my nightstand, you would know that I HAVE to have lotion. I put lotion on my feet and hands before bed every single night. I cannot stand dry feet touching my sheets. So I was excited to grab the nourishing body lotion. I’m somewhat of a lotion snob, because I’m very picky. I want lotion to coat my skin; however, I don’t want it to be greasy! I’m happy to report that this product does just that!

You know I’m a huge football fan, so I thought I’d have a little fun with this clarifying detox mask. I apply it all over my face and let dry for 10 minutes. Trust me, I’ve never met a mask I didn’t like. The clarifying properties in this mask really dug deep into my pores and cleared my blackheads. Use this mask a couple of times per week!

Once weekly, I’ve been using the dual enzyme polish. This gives more exfoliation to your skin to get rid of impurities that have built up during the week. My skin is stressed, so I know that this polish helps to relax and calm my skin. Leave on for 10 minutes then rub in circular motions to get the most out of this product. It’s safe for my sensitive skin which I love!

So, where do I start?

I would recommend the Discovery Collection! This collection includes everything you need to dive into the brand and get started. This kit contains Radiant Cleansing Balm, Dual Enzyme Polish, Clarifying Detox Mask, Sheer Renewal Cream, Extreme Recovery Cream, Face Oil N°9, Muslin Cleansing Cloth, and an exclusive CR Travel Bag.

I am so thankful to be able to work with a brand that I believe in. The skincare market can be daunting, but I really recommend you giving Colleen Rothschild a try. Please email me if you have any questions! I’m also here for product recommendations based on your skin type ;)

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had to work half of Saturday, but I think I got a lot accomplished in the afternoon. I’ve got my posts written for this week, so that’s always exciting. Thank you all for your feedback on my outfit post! Stay tuned for this week’s look on Wednesday. Today I wanted to share my favorite beauty/skincare products that you can get at the drugstore. These WAY outperform their more expensive counterpart, so let’s get started!

PSSSST dry shampoo // Maybelline “The Falsies” Push-up Mascara // L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask // Garnier Micellar Water // Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser

Dry Shampoo: Having written about this before, I’m here to tell you (again) that you have to try this PSSSST dry shampoo. I love it for several reasons…it’s cheap, it smells great, and it works! Honestly, I go through probably two cans per month. Should I be embarrassed? Maybe. But I’m totally not! This doesn’t leave a white residue and has the most yummy coconut lime smell. It honestly transports me to the beach every single time I use it. (PS: My everyday scrunchy curls hair tutorial is here)

Mascara: I have a very specific lash problem. My lashes are super long but they are super straight. I find this kind of weird, because I have naturally curly hair. That being said, I found this Maybelline mascara and it works wonders. I apply a coat at the beginning of putting my makeup on, then apply another coat at the end. I definitely recommend this mascara if you need a curling effect. It adds volume as well!

Mask: This clay mask is very affordable, and that’s the number 1 reason I like it. It compares very similarly to a high priced department store version. It has a cooling effect that really feels good on the face, especially after getting home from a long day at work. L’Oreal has perfected its mask game with this product.

Makeup Remover: I give this Garnier micellar water 11 stars out of 10. It is the ONLY product that I’ve ever used that gets ALL of my makeup off without scrubbing my face raw. It is gentle, oil-free, alcohol free, and fragrance free. And for all of my low maintenance babes, you don’t have to rinse! WHAT A WIN.

Cleanser: Formulated without parabens, this Neutrogena exfoliating cleanser provides major hydration to even the driest skin. I love that it’s gentle enough to use everyday and it provides just enough exfoliation! The hyaluronic acid helps plump your skin.
