Happy Thursday! Who’s ready for the weekend? It’s going to turn cold here (again), so I’m preparing with all of my scarves and boots ;) I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to trends, but velvet is everywhere! It’s definitely having a moment right now. I’m going to be honest though, I’m not willing to spend an arm and a leg on a trend like this one. I do like it, but it’s not something that I’m going to want to wear for years. Do you know what I mean? That’s why I’ve curated a list of affordable velvet items from Old Navy. Everything is under $50!
Wait…leopard AND velvet? These velvet booties (#11) are in my cart as we speak. I LOVE leopard and we all know this. I think they will add the perfect touch to an otherwise boring outfit!
How to wear: black skinnies + turtleneck
I ordered the velvet tank (#3) in pink and black. I have a couple of holiday parties lined up, and I think this is a versatile top. You can be on trend easily for way under $50. I think pairing the tank with a pencil skirt and blazer will be great for work as well.

These pine green velvet pants (#1) are coming to the blog next week. I think styling them with black & white stripes is genius. I really like the ankle length!

Happy Thursday! The weekend is only a couple of days away…thank goodness! I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to trends lately but RED is everywhere. We are talking shoes, outfits, accessories, etc. It’s starting to feel like winter outside (which I love), so I thought “Red Hot Winter” had a catchy ring to it ;) Today I will help you out with sixteen items to give your closet a head start on the red trend!
This bag (#16) is only $48! WHAT a steal. I already ordered it, and I think it’s perfect for holiday parties.
Several of my friends have these flats (#9). I had been waiting for a fun color to come out, so I think I need to grab these. They are way under $100 which is a good price. I love the bow detail.
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I’m obsessed with bell sleeves. This dress, top (#6), and sweater (#11) are all great options in a fiery red color.
Don’t be scared of this trend. For me, bright colors can be a little intimidating. I like to pair bright red with more muted items, such as jeans or black skinnies. I can’t wait to see how this trend plays out this winter!

Thanks for reading. I hope you have a good rest of the week!
It’s Wednesday. Thankfully this week is flying by! But let me tell you, fall/winter has come in with a vengeance. We got down in the low 30’s last night and it was COLD! I really love this season though, because I love seeing the changing trees and I don’t even mind a bit of snow ;) I wanted to share another outfit that I shot with my photographer a couple of weeks ago. I know…I’m so behind on my blog posts! This bell sleeve sweater has quickly become one of my favorites!
I’m so obsessed with bell sleeves. I really was unsure how I would like them, but I’ve already ordered a few more items after falling in love with the trend. This sweater is super long which I was nervous about. I like that it makes me look taller, which is never a bad thing ;)
For all my working friends, this tote will be your new BFF. I carry it every day to work with my laptop inside! I like it because the leather is strong enough to hold its shape, even when it’s full. I highly recommend this if you’re in school, too!
After seeing these pictures, I realize I paired a lot of black & brown. I really like the color scheme though, so I’m trying to branch out and not be scared of certain outfits. I like how the lace tank brings a little something extra to the outfit! And a hint of leopard never hurts either!
