With the holidays right around the corner, beauty has really been on my mind. I think at the end of each year, I tend to look back on how I changed. This year, I’ve been making an effort to take better care of my skin. I feel like we pretty much skipped fall and went straight into winter. There is nothing more important than keeping your skin moisturized in the cold weather! Today I wanted to share my experience with a new tool I got, the Onyx Youth Magnet Mask.

First of all, I feel like I should be singing a song about magic because that’s what this mask is. I have to admit that I was skeptical if the magnet would really even work at taking the mask off. Well, I can tell you that it worked perfectly. It was seriously mesmerizing to watch! The packaging is beautiful, and is perfectly boxed.

As you know, I turned 30 this year. I wanted to crawl under a rock, but I don’t figure that will make me any younger ;) One of the major ways to prevent wrinkles is through hydrated, moisturized skin.

So, how does this product work? I’m glad you asked! I did some pretty extensive research before slathering this product all over my face. I’m a chemistry nerd, so I know that this product must be iron-rich. I was right. This is what makes the mask able to dip deep into pores and dig out impurities. With the included magnet wand, you get to watch the magic. What I love about this mask kit is that it comes with covers for the magnet wand. Other products do not, so this definitely is a game-changer. No more mask all over your hands and under your nails!

What are the ingredients? Here’s a photo that shows just which botanical oils are in this mask:

The mask also contains all-natural Korean volcanic minerals and an anti-aging amino acid complex. Keep in mind that this mask is safe for even the most sensitive skin types (like mine).

How can I purchase this kit? I’ve got a special deal for you. Use code “bemagnetic” here to receive 20% off your kit. #MagnetBeauty

What if I have questions? I know that any of your friends or ladies in your family would love to try out this mask! It makes a great gift. If you have any questions about my experience or want to know more, email me or contact me on Twitter!

Thank you so much to Onyx for my super soft & hydrated skin!

Happy Monday. AND BLAH! Why is it always Monday? I think today is harder than usual because it’s a holiday week! I hope you have fun plans with your friends & family this week. Yesterday I had a pretty long photo shoot with my photographer, and I have lots of great content to share with you! Let’s started with an outfit of the day featuring this gorgeous black bomber jacket:

I got this bomber jacket for a STEAL at $39. It’s still on sale, so go grab it. I absolutely LOVE the ruching on the sleeves. I’m really trying to branch out in my outfits and try things I may not have been initially drawn to. This outfit is one of those.

I even paired it with a silver necklace, and I never wear silver! I’m always a gold girl. However, I think that the long, dangly silver necklace adds a nice touch.

I grabbed this lipstick during the Sephora VIB Rouge sale. It’s a matte lipcolor, and I’ve fallen in love with it. I know I wanted something darker for fall, and this color fits the bill. I have a couple of pointers for darker matte lipstick (if you’re like me and don’t wear it often). First, apply a layer of your favorite chapstick underneath so your lips won’t feel as dry. Second, ONLY apply a thin layer of this lip color, because it can get way too dark way too fast ;)

SALE Alert: These booties are 33% off & under $100 AND my clutch is 20% off!

I turned out really liking this monochrome outfit. I always find myself leaning towards bright colors, but a little black & white can be fun too! Find all of my outfit/style posts here.

Happy Thursday! Who’s ready for the weekend? It’s going to turn cold here (again), so I’m preparing with all of my scarves and boots ;) I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to trends, but velvet is everywhere! It’s definitely having a moment right now. I’m going to be honest though, I’m not willing to spend an arm and a leg on a trend like this one. I do like it, but it’s not something that I’m going to want to wear for years. Do you know what I mean? That’s why I’ve curated a list of affordable velvet items from Old Navy. Everything is under $50!

Wait…leopard AND velvet? These velvet booties (#11) are in my cart as we speak. I LOVE leopard and we all know this. I think they will add the perfect touch to an otherwise boring outfit!

How to wear: black skinnies + turtleneck

I ordered the velvet tank (#3) in pink and black. I have a couple of holiday parties lined up, and I think this is a versatile top. You can be on trend easily for way under $50. I think pairing the tank with a pencil skirt and blazer will be great for work as well.

How to wear: black pencil skirt + blazer

These pine green velvet pants (#1) are coming to the blog next week. I think styling them with black & white stripes is genius. I really like the ankle length!

How to wear:  black + white tee
