Been there, made that (kinda).

I’m sure you all love Pinterest. I’m not even going to explain what it is! I set out on a mission to make this awesome mirror using PLASTIC SPOONS:

Pinned Image
I mean come on, plastic spoons?! I really knew I had to do it. Everyone take a deep breath, because I’m going to show you pictures of my attempt!

It’s not perfect, but hey I’m proud of it! My living room is a mixture of green, cream, and black. The black on the first picture is two flowers. (they’re covering up a mistake :)) I hope you like it, I was actually pretty happy with it. Want me to tell you how to make one? Okay.
Items needed: 1 round mirror (I got mine at IKEA for under $20), 1 bottle of E600 glue, enough plastic spoons to go all the way around the mirror (I used two colors & got them at a party store for CHEAP!), patience!!
Here’s a picture of the glue: you can find it at Wal-Mart.

Notes: you want the spoons to just come off on the edges where the handle meets the actual spoon part. So only put glue on the handle.
Instructions: Choose your first color of spoon and begin gluing. (Put the brighter color on the front so it’s mroe of a pop of color!). Go all the way around the mirror. Let dry overnight. Then the next day, begin gluing the second color of spoon on top of the other color. (Be sure to glue right in between two spoons..see pictures.) Let dry overnight. If anything needs to be reglued, then do that. Otherwise you’re finished. (unless you need to add flowers to cover up mistakes like I did)
Have any of you made a mirror like this?!
