A Weekend in Dallas: What to Do, Where to Eat, How to Have Fun

Happy Wednesday. I’m FINALLY back with my recap post of my weekend in Dallas. I honestly didn’t want to come home, but let’s be honest…I never want to when I’m on a trip. I’ll be honest…I had more trouble on this trip than ever before. I had multiple gate changes, flight delays, etc. BUT that didn’t stop me from having one of the best weekends ever! Here’s a recap of my trip with one of my best friends, Ricci.

Where to Stay:

If you are attending a concert/event at the American Airlines Center (more on this below), you HAVE to stay at the W Dallas Victory. You can literally walk a few feet across the street to the venue. It’s SO close, and you won’t have to pay for extra parking.

Also, if it’s the middle of summer and you’re looking to cool off, the W has an awesome infinity pool on the 16th floor. It looks out across all of Dallas, and it’s really beautiful! The hotel is very modern and fun with cute decor and really friendly staff. I recommend it!

Where to Eat:

{BREAKFAST} We met up with our bloggy friend, Becky, at Yolk on Routh Street. YUM is all I can say! They have a very extensive menu with sweet and salty faves. Of course I was all about creating my own omelette, so I chose bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and topped it with avocado! Becky & Ricci tried the strawberry orange juice, and it looked awesome too! It was so fun to catch up with a fellow Arkansan (now Texas transplant) and talk all things social media. It was in the cutest neighborhood!

{LUNCH/DINNER} If you’re obsessed with Tex-Mex like me, be sure to visit one of the many Mi Cocina locations. We headed to the West Village on Sunday afternoon for lunch. Seriously give me allllll of the queso! I’ve never had a meal here I didn’t like, but the fajitas should be the first thing you try ;)

How To Have Fun:

{BASEBALL GAME} How about those Rangers? Well hey, at least they tried. Any other Joey Gallo fans out there? ;) That man is gorgeous. We got awesome seats at the recommendation of a couple of friends. I recommend the Lexus Club seats, because you have servers that tend to you during the game! HOW COOL is this?! Now you won’t miss any of those walk-up songs! Speaking of that…what would be your walk-up song? I’m thinking GIRLS by Beyonce ;) Every Friday night is fireworks at the Park, and I’m pretty proud to say that we provided so much entertainment to the guys next to us as we belted out Journey and Garth Brooks during the show! PS: if it’s football season, be sure to catch the Cowboys across the street at AT&T Stadium!

{CONCERT} If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with Adam Levine. It’s honestly come to the point that it might or might not be a little unhealthy but whatever…HAVE you seen him lately? Or heard him sing? Enough said. This was my third concert seeing Maroon 5, and this was my favorite so far! (See this post for my Vegas recap when we saw them) The concert was at the American Airlines center. We always sit in the nosebleeds in this location, because there’s not a bad seat in the whole place. The stage was in the shape of a “V”, and Adam was totally OWNING that stage. And can we talk about James’s jumpsuit? He just has his own style, and I love it!

Obviously Dallas is full of life, and there’s so so much to do! It’s hands down my favorite city in the US. We hit up Northpark before coming home and I bought a few pairs of shoes. Can’t wait to share with you on IG!

Be sure to let me know if you’ve seen Maroon 5 in concert! You can read Ricci’s reviews of the weekend here & here. Thanks for reading.

XO,

Rebekah
