Baskets (A)Bound


5 days before Christmas, I had {ZERO} presents for anyone. Don’t judge me. I was stressed to say the least! What was I going to get? There are millions of choices for kids, so I didn’t have much trouble shopping for my cousins, my niece, or my nephew. BUT what do you get for couples like grandparents or aunts & uncles? No fear…gift baskets are here! Now just wait, I promise this will not turn out to be a waste of your time. They turned out really well and were super cute! I made four baskets and each had a theme. Most of them I had seen before, but I put my own touches on them.
–1. “Family Movie Night.” This was for my cousins & their 4 little kids.
Contents:
  • Basket
  • Basket filler (I used some green & red “grass” I found at Wal-Mart)
  •  Chocolate or other individually wrapped candy sprinkled on the basket filler (I used Hershey kisses)
  • A kid-friendly movie (I bought Polar Express)
  • Popcorn
  • Popcorn boxes (the red & white striped ones)
  • Candy in boxes (like you get at movie theaters)
  • Drinks (I bought mini canned Sprite’s)
–2. “Just Add Ice Cream.” I made this for my grandparents.
Contents: 
  • Basket
  • Basket filler (I used some green & red “grass” I found at Wal-Mart)
  •  Chocolate or other individually wrapped candy sprinkled on the basket filler (I used Hershey kisses) 
  • A cute ice cream scoop
  • Two plastic bowls in a cute Christmas print (or as many as you need for your recipients)
  • A jar of caramel
  • A jar of hot fudge
  • A can of nuts (as long as no one is allergic!)
  • Sprinkles (my favorite!)
  • Cones
  • Waffle bowls
  • Mini chocolate chip cookies
 –3.“Breakfast for Two.” This was for my aunt & uncle.
Contents:
  • Basket
  • Basket filler (I used some green & red “grass” I found at Wal-Mart)
  •  Chocolate or other individually wrapped candy sprinkled on the basket filler (I used Hershey kisses)
  • A bag of coffee
  • A tea for the morning (I LOVE Earl Grey)
  • A jar of pancake mix
  • A bottle of syrup
  • A flavorful jam or jelly
  • Cute spreaders for the jelly (mine were Santa Claus themed)
  • A loaf of specialty bread (something fruity or homemade)
–4. “Take a break with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or all three!” I made this for my great aunt & uncle.
Contents: 
  • Basket
  • Basket filler (I used some green & red “grass” I found at Wal-Mart)
  •  Chocolate or other individually wrapped candy sprinkled on the basket filler (I used Hershey kisses) 
  • Two cute mugs (I chose red Fiesta brand)
  • Multi-pack of flavored teas
  • Hot Cocoa envelopes (I chose Starbucks Double Chocolate)
  • A bag of coffee
  • A flavoring syrup (my favorite is French Vanilla)
  • A bottle of creamer (HAZELNUT!)
Notes: For all baskets, I tied them up with cellophane. I then added two colors of curling ribbon (either red/silver or green/gold) and accented with a large colorful ribbon. I printed off cute labels with the titles/to/from on large sheets of full size labels (1/2 page per label). 
Picture FAIL. I have no pictures that will show my gifts! SO sorry, I will never let this happen again!
