Date Night Outfit Ideas with Plenty of Fish

*This post has been sponsored by Plenty of Fish. All opinions & thoughts are my own.*

Today’s post is going to be so much fun y’all. I wanted to share somewhat of a different post and let you know about Plenty of Fish (POF). For me, online dating was always daunting. But in the back of my mind, there was always the thought of my friends who had success with POF and that was exciting to me. Dating in today’s world is completely different than years ago with our parents ;) If you’re like me, you have your phone in your hand 24/7. That’s why dating via an app makes so much sense! When you’re sitting down for your lunch break or even getting ready for bed, just jump on the app to see what POF has to offer!

So you may be wondering why POF? The app is SO simple to use, as you can see below (If you’re wondering how to get started, POF has you covered with their blog to help you with all things online dating – visit the blog here!). Additionally, more conversations happen on POF than any other dating app. I think a dating app is a great place to get the conversation going. It really helps to break the ice in case you find yourself meeting up with someone you’ve been talking to, and you already have a good foundation.

Once you sign up and start chatting with someone, the icons give you several options like “will respond”, so you can go back and catch up with someone. It’s not jumbled and hard to find what you are looking for. If you find someone you want to talk to, just shoot them a message. Download the app & get started today!

The challenge: Break the ice!

Did you know that bad grammar is a major turnoff? We can all probably relate to the idea that seeing bad grammar on social media is a total deal breaker! I cannot stand seeing someone use “your” instead of “you’re”. Anyone else like me? And remember, starting the conversation on the app should be just what you need to break the ice and have great conversation in person. Because you will have already covered the initial bases, it will much easier to relax and enjoy the date.

Today I wanted to share a few more ways to break the ice. I wanted to put my own twist on this post, so I’m sharing outfit ideas for these dates as well. Let’s get started!

Date Idea #1: Outdoor Movie

Outfit details: Tank // Cardigan // Crops // Birkenstocks

With summer just around the corner, get outside! Outdoor movies are such a fun way to experience the warmer temperatures and longer days.

TIP: Get there early. I think it would be fun to get together and talk about your favorite movies. Are you a scary movie person? I’m of course a chick-flick person, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not into other movies as well. Also ask the person about favorite actors!

Date Idea #2: Baseball Game

Outfit details: Striped tee // Denim // Hat // Tennies

This type of date is a great way to get over the first date nerves. Silence is probably a little nerve-racking on the first date. At a baseball game, silence will be limited and can help take the edge off!

TIP: Get to know each other’s favorite teams beforehand. I’m a diehard fan of several sports teams, and I can definitely handle my own when talking about sports.

Date Idea #3: Coffee or Brunch

Outfit details: Dress // Denim jacket // Wedges, old (similar) // Earrings

This date is a great time to meet somewhere comfortable. Coffee shops are great locations to be able to have good conversations. First dates can be STRESSFUL, but take the opportunity to get to know each other.

TIP: Branch out! This would be a fun time to try a new coffee or get a couple of different kinds to try together.

Let me know your ideas about first conversation and date ice breakers in the comments below! Thanks for reading.

XO,

Rebekah
