My Favorite Quotes: BBC Dallas Edition

Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week & I’m ALMOST done with the semester. CHA-CHING! So today, I want to share some of my favorite quotes from the amazing, famous ladies we heard speak at Bloggy Boot Camp Dallas! (If you aren’t sure what BBC is, check out yesterday’s post!)

The short list is where you want to be. –Tiffany Romero

My thoughts: We are human. We want to stand out. Don’t take this the wrong way…but not everyone can do everything. I have been blessed to have certain goals that can be accomplished by my characteristics as a person. It’s important to find your “end game” and know what you want to accomplish in your life. AND don’t be afraid to have different goals than your BFF.

Social media is not static & you shouldn’t be either. –Ashley Abele

My thoughts: Hello, this is so true. Just think, 5 years ago we weren’t sitting on twitter catching up with all of our friends. Social media can be your friend if you let it. But I would like to take this time to say this…please be nice. If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it. Let’s use social media to build each other up & help each other reach their goals.

If it isn’t a heck yeah, it’s a no! –Danielle Smith

My thoughts: I am the WORST person at saying yes then going back and canceling on people. I’ve really been trying to work on this. If I can’t 100% commit to something, I HAVE to say no. This comes into play with little things, such as dinner with a friend to big things as well. Remember, we all HAVE to sleep. It’s required of our bodies, so think about that next time you say yes then regret it.

These ladies are HUGE inspirations to me. Since we are on the topic of quotes…

As Katy Perry says, “I am a champion & you’re gonna hear me roar!”

And as Courtney Kerr says, “If the dreams you have don’t scare you a little bit, they’re probably not big enough.”

I so love to hear that BBC Dallas was so meaningful for you and that these quotes resonated. I hope you keep saying them over and over to yourself – that’s how I manage to get them to stick with me (and then to work FOR me). xoxo
